We are excited to announce about NMMM Quarterly Newsletter for our members “NMMM संवाद!” This newsletter is our Summary for all the activities, events happening for all Marathi Families associated with us. It is reflection of your support as well as enthusiasm of volunteers. It is transparent communication to NMMM family!! First Edition was published to all members in July 2021. We would like to share some lines from our first newsletter. Splendid START!! 2021 is Inaugural Year of Northern Melbourne Marathi Mandal (NMMM) and this is our first newsletter, how exciting! NMMM Inc. is formed with the thought of bringing together Marathi Families living in Northern part of Melbourne and what a splendid start we have had! It’s been only 4 months since NMMM started taking shape. It started with a small group of friends and acquaintances, who started bringing Marathi people together using social media. Today, NMMM is officially registered as Not-for-profit organisation and have formed a stable and dedicated management committee to look after Mandal’s operations for the Inaugural Year 2021-22. How It All Started? As a migrant in Australia, away from our home we all often feel separated from our roots, especially when it comes to the Marathi culture, celebrating festivals, family love and support. This led to the thought of building the close-knit Marathi community around us who share the same cultural background. Expression of this thought shared by few families in northern suburbs of Melbourne in 2019 gave rise to the inception of forming Mandal. These few families started connecting Marathi people living in northern suburbs of Melbourne. Join Our Hands!! We appreciate and thanks all NMMM members for signing up with us. It is a small but valuable contribution to our Marathi community to prosper our life while staying in Melbourne. $30 membership fees is to build foundation for doing ground work required to conduct all activities. I would like to appeal everyone to get registered and make this journey successful!! See You Soon! We are very happy to introduce you the first edition of NMMM संवाद! We’ll continue to bring latest news and updates about NMMM’s journey to you through these newsletters. We request you to actively participate in all events and activities run by NMMM.
